The interiors of the Hyundai Verna feel very plush, And the overall touch and feel of the materials are also pretty good. Fit finish and premiums inside the cabin are definitely making it feel the best in the category. Even the touch of the materials is quite good, And they have not compromised anywhere. Also, among the two options available which are turbo and non-turbo, I am currently sitting in the non-turbo variant which gets black and ivory color interiors, While the turbo variant gets all-black interiors with subtle red inserts and red stitching. So that’s the only differentiation in the interiors of both those variants And no differences in the materials used. Talking about the seats they are really comfortable.
Seat
You get a perfect blend of comfort. They are neither too soft nor too stiff. Drive the car in the city or on long road trips, The seats are so good that you do not feel tired sitting on them. The car comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen system,
Touchscreen
And no compromises have been done with the response and even with the UI. This is one of the best touch screens available in the market, And also it is very bright as well. So you will never feel the touch screen be better, And this is definitely a very good quality touchscreen.
Reverse Camera
Even the reverse parking camera is just fantastic, With good clarity as well. It gets front parking sensors and you will find it very clear even while using it at night. An instrument cluster is a digital unit that is quite easy to operate, And at the center, it displays the ADAS functions which you can keep on changing.
Steering Adjustment
The steering wheel is adjustable for both heights as well as reach and so it’s a telescopic steering wheel. Also, the Verna is equipped with Bose speakers, Listen to them once.
Music test
So the audio quality is really amazing, They are not very loud, But you can listen to each and every element clearly. Talking about the features available, This car gets the most features in the segment. And the list is very exhaustive. No other car in this segment offers you these many features.
For instance, this car is equipped with level 2 ADAS, And it gets 17 features for the ADAS itself. It has the biggest touchscreen in the category, It does not get ventilated seats but gets both cool and heated seats, It gets a sunroof, Rear windshield sunblind, and Leatherette upholstery, And the list of features is pretty long.
It also comes with multiple colors for ambient lighting. Overall you will not fall short of the features in this car. Talking about safety features it gets- 6 Airbags, ABS+EBD, Traction Control, And many other safety features are offered. Overall they have not compromised with the features and safety features.
Seat Adjustment
Even the driver seat is electrically adjustable while other cars in the segment offer manual adjustment only. In terms of storage spaces, you have space to keep a couple of one-liter bottles in the front door pads,

Decent space underneath the front armrest which also has a sliding mechanism, And twin cup holders in the center console. You have enough space in the glove box which also has the cooling function. The horn of the Verna is the loudest in the category, Listen to this once.
Charging Ports
To charge your mobiles you get a 12V charging socket in the front, Along with a wireless charging pad. There is a USB and a type-c charging point at the front, While 2 USB type-c charging ports are available for the rear passengers. Overall the car is loaded with features.
Second Row Seating
Let us go to the back seat to show the features available for the rear passengers. You have a good amount of knee room available, Decent headroom, And sitting three in the second row will not be an issue as the car is on a wider side. So there is no concern with the shoulder room. And thanks to the flat floor, The passenger in the center will not have much of an issue.
Also, the recline angle of the seat is also quite good, So if your car is chauffeur driven, You are very comfortable at the back. You even get a rear sunshade, Two adjustable headrests, And you get two cup holders on the armrest. You have space indoor pads to store a 1-liter bottle, A phone storage space at the center along with charging ports, And pockets behind the front seats where you can keep some papers or any other stuff easily.
So overall there is a decent amount of storage space. Also, the glass area is perfect. It isn’t too much that allows more sunlight inside, Nor it is too less to feel claustrophobic. It is just perfect and you can easily maintain your privacy. It’s time to now drive the car, So let’s go and drive it.
Drive
Alright, guys here we are to drive the car. Shifting to the drive mode, here we go. So the variant I am driving right now is the 1.5-liter non-turbo version. It comes with two engine options, A 1.5-liter non-turbo, and a 1.5-liter turbo. Now generally, people will consider this particular engine for a very simple fact, it’s more accessible and easily available for buyers at the price point.
The biggest advantage of this engine is its driveability. The updates this engine received over a period of time have improved its iVT technology, And eventually, the response has improved as well. Press the accelerator and you get that push immediately. Now this being the non-turbo engine you won’t get the kick from the engine.
But the response time or the drive quality of this car is just fantastic. These are the amazing improvements the car has received. Also, another plus point is that the engine is really quiet. There is absolutely no noise in this engine, And all these factors enhance the overall driving experience.
Now if you want to overtake in the city or even on the highway, You will not have a problem with the Verna at any given point in time, Which eventually improves the drive quality. The second engine option is the turbo petrol and it is the most powerful engine in the entire category. That engine should be your choice if and only if you are a performance-oriented buyer. See that doesn’t means this engine is underpowered, Even this engine is easy to drive and easy to overtake, But the fact is if you need more power to drive your car at higher speeds, Then in that case I will suggest you go for the turbo petrol engine.
Otherwise, the regular non-turbo engine is also a fantastic unit, And you will have no issues with your daily city usage. Another important aspect is that the ride quality is also quite good. This car has been built for family use, And so they have maintained softness in the suspension setup on purpose.
So that the car offers you comfort while driving and that is the key idea with this car. Even you will not face problems or compromised with its handling. So they have built the car keeping every aspect in mind, And I will say the steering feel is also pretty good. So if you drive your car regularly,
Need power, and need everything else in the car like decent ground clearance and other things, This car becomes a suitable choice for you. But if you need more power, Then you should buy a turbo petrol engine rather than the 1.5-liter non-turbo engine. So this is the major differentiation with this car.
I feel if you drive in the city or on the highway and you are not a quick driver, The non-turbo engine is what I will tell you to buy or even I will buy Unless I am a performance-oriented driver, Then I will go for turbo petrol as that engine goes 0 to 100 in 8.1 sec which is the quickest in the entire category. Overall you will have no issue with the performance.
Also, the car is equipped with level 2 ADAS which can be helpful to you in many cases. The car gets radar not only for the front But gets radar for the rear as well. So better just by saying I will show you how it works.
Now as I am driving in the city, there is a situation where I have to reverse the car, Or I had to reverse the car while making a U-turn, So in that case it will alert me if anyone is approaching. Let me show you that. Now as I am driving here and decide to take a U-turn,
So now as I shift to reverse, Saw? The car not just warned me but even applied brakes for me. So that’s how it avoided me from going back as the radar sensed an obstacle behind me. We did the hill climb test by driving the car uphill and we did not have any problem with it. See at the end of the day what matters is the amount of power supplied when you accelerate. And if the power is supplied instantly, The car will climb easily in most cases. But the response of this engine is so good that you will not struggle on uphills even with a fully loaded car. Second, the braking of this car is also pretty confident. We tested it under hard barking and the car was very stable,

Speed Breaker
We were surprised to know Hyundai Verna did well in the speed breaker test, And the ride quality for the rear passengers was very good.
