The 5 most anticipated new cars that have already been presented and will soon arrive in Europe

They have been presented a few days ago at the Shanghai Motor Show and soon we will have the opportunity to see them on European roads. Some of brands are as exotic as Hiphi or Zeekr and others are already established, such as the BMW i7 and the Porsche Cayenne.

Hybrid cars, Chinese brands, more intelligent and powerful models... the hangover from the Shanghai Motor Show has left numerous novelties that we will soon have on the European market.

From the Hiphi Y electric SUV or the Zeekr X EV, which will do 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, to the BYD Seagull, a small fully electric utility that will have a range of 402 km. These are the 5 most anticipated new cars that we will be able to see soon on European roads.

BMW I7 M70

The flagship in the sedan segment of the German firm began its commercial journey in Spain with the interesting i7 xDrive60 version, one of the variants with one hundred percent electric propulsion technology.

But at the recent Shanghai Motor Show, the BMW i7 M70 made its debut. It is a more powerful and exclusive version with a total combined power of 485 kW (660 PS), 1,100 Nm of torque, a top speed limited to 250 km/h, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. The i7 M70 also has adaptive air suspension as standard and rear-wheel steering, and the 21-inch light-alloy wheels hide an M Sports brake system. Its market launch is scheduled for the second half of 2023.

Byd Seagull,

It may have a strange name, but this electric utility costs only 10,200 euros to change in China. Although we still do not know what price it will have in Spain, this small urban vehicle has a range of up to 320 km thanks to its battery of up to 39 kWh. How has BYD achieved it? The Seagull features a sodium-ion battery, unlike the lithium-ion batteries used by most electric cars, and they are much cheaper to produce.

HiPhi Y

The HiPhi Y is one of the three cars of this new brand that arrive in Europe, and it is an electric SUV that is proposed as an alternative to cars like the Tesla Model Y and the Volvo C40, among others. It has a 76 kWh battery pack and two electric motors producing 500 hp. Also similar to a Tesla are the quirky upward-swinging rear doors.

Porsche Cayenne

Porsche has thoroughly revised the third generation of the Cayenne, with notable changes to the powertrain, chassis, design, and equipment. With this update, it improves not only on-road and off-road performance but also luxury and comfort for everyday use. It continues to have the option of SUV or Coupé bodywork and debuts with three different engines: a 4-liter V8 biturbo with 474 hp, a 3-liter turbo V6 with 353 hp, and a plug-in hybrid version with a combined power of 470 hp, a battery of 25.9 kWh and an electric range of up to 90 kilometers in the WLTP cycle,

ZEEKR X

Zeekr, another of the new gears from China, founded in 2021, has already confirmed that it will arrive in Europe with a new electric car, the third in the range. This is the Zeekr X and will be 4.45 meters long, targeting models such as the VW ID.3, Cupra Born, or MG4, among others. The engines will derive from Smart #1, while both brands come from the Asian giant Geely. And it will be available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive with dual motor and up to 476 hp. This version goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds.
