The Polestar A Game-Changer in Electric SUVs

Polestar has just unveiled what would be the Porsche Macan's closest competitor and it's a stunner, to say the least, decked with a compact interior and a sleek and futuristic exterior design that features 12 ultrasonic sensors and to top it all up no rear window the Pulstar.

4 is simply an amazing EV design with an insane amount of detailing the four made its debut appearance at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show and stands out as one of the top EVS at the event pollster's new SUV is a sleeker and sportier version of its predecessor the Pole star

3. according to pole star this new addition to its family of EVS will be able to hit up to 62 miles per hour in just a little under 4 seconds with performance this good and the intense degree of detailing in This SUV we have good enough reasons to believe pollster's new SUV would make for a fierce competitor against EV Market leading models like the Tesla Model Y and especially Porsche's Macan chances are high that the Pulstar 4 will be a hit when the new SUV finally hits the mark it well if this happens it won't be anything far from what we expect but simply an addition to the success Polestar has already recorded with its previous models like the pull star 2.

According to Inside EVS the Pole Star 2 was a huge success, especially in Germany beating even Tesla's Model 3 to become the most popular EV in all of Germany in 2022 with such success it's obvious that Polestar is definitely not taking a backseat in the current EV Revolution Polestar is a Swedish automaker that began producing vehicles in 2000 however its Origins are traceable to a Swedish racing team that competed in the Swedish Touring Car Championship called flash engineering back in 1996.

Flash Engineering would later be renamed Pole Star Racing after the team was sold and consequently rebranded at the time pole

Star Racing partnered with Volvo cars but it wasn't until 2009 that Polestar became the official Volvo partner having full permission to modify existing Volvo models and to do so under the brand name Pole Star Performance the Polestar company and brand were eventually acquired by Volvo in 2015.

Today pollstar serves as Volvo's performance and electric vehicle brand saddled with the responsibility of coming up with blends of high-tech and modern Swedish styling in their car designs so far pollster has done a great job of putting out sweetly styled cars with impressive performance metrics but to achieve this Polestar adopts a design process is known as minimalism, needless to say, the pole star 4 is a classic example of this design process the very design of pole star 4 bespeaks a lot of detailing thanks to the company's minimalistic approach to design but what exactly is the minimalistic approach to design all about the minimalistic design approach involves stripping complex systems down to their most basic parts and tackling the design at this level.

This allows for well-detailed designs that are also highly efficient and that's really because of the micro-level detailing this process gives room, for now, Polestar adopts this design approach, and from what we know it seems to be working quite well for the Swedish automaker so what can we expect this newest outcome of the company's detailed design process to look like when it finally gets on the market well let's begin with its specs so what will the Pulstar 4 be able to deliver in terms of specs, to begin with, the pole star 4 is the fastest model the Swedish automaker has brought to the four so far the performance version of the Polestar 4 will be able to deliver up to 544 horsepower in its dual motor all-wheel model and 506 pound-feet of torque it'll be able to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in as little as 3.8 seconds now that's just half amazing when you consider this stunning SUV would be able to go on to hit as high as 124 miles per hour the single-motor rear-wheel drive version of the Polestar 4 will surely deliver less than its dual-motor version.

But it's still as impressive as being able to deliver up to 272 horsepower in engine power and 253 pound-feet of instant torque single the motor version will be able to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 7.4 seconds while gradually building up to its peak speed of 112 miles per hour it also comes equipped with a large 94-kilowatt hour lithium-ion battery pack manufactured by cattle which can deliver up to 300 miles of driving range in the single motor version and 270 miles in the dual motor version when it comes to recharging the pole star 4 is built for bi-directional charging and can handle up to 200 kilowatts of charging speed it also comes with a 22-kilowatt charger, to begin with, the Pulstar 4 does not look like an SUV from the outside.

It looks more like a sedan the exterior design of the Polestar 4 is a step up from the design of pole star 2 and the 4 is built on the same design concept as the pull start 2. That is the precept concept the Pulstar 4 actually shares a lot of features with the top of line pole star 2 trim levels it has a bold and futuristic look that features bisecting headlights 22-inch Wheels four-piston Brembo brakes gold colored Trims on the brake calipers and overall length of 4899 millimeters a width of 2139 millimeters and a wheelbase of 299 millimeters for security driver safety features are also included on the exterior of the Pulstar 4.

It's fitted with 12 cameras radar and 12 ultrasonic sensors at the rear there's a button that opens up a 500-liter boot space which can be increased even further by adjusting the rear seats to reveal over 1 000 liters of extra boot space however unlike anything else we've seen the Polestar 4 has no rear window this is probably the most outstanding feature of the Polestar 4's exterior design so instead of having a rear window the Polestar 4 uses a high definition rear view camera that displays everything taking place behind the car.

However, the absence of a rear window in the Polestar Force design is not just a fancy decision this actually allows for the inclusion of a panoramic rooftop that stretches all the way to the back of the passenger seats and this makes for a more Airy interior, and speaking of Interior Design the pole star 4's interior is decked out with neat and well-tailored textiles made from 100 recycled plastic the carpets are also made from the recycled pet which is a good effort towards protecting our environment this is all in line with polestar's sustainable experience architecture and is probably the most interesting property of polestar's vehicles.

They're built to be easy to recycle there's also a 15-inch infotainment screen located on the dashboard and positioned so it's pretty close to the driver's seat for easy control a convertible rear view mirror that can be used as a camera to look out the back of the car Apple car play 12 speakers with an additional two headrest speakers added to each front seat making a total of 16 speakers and a climate control screen that can also be used to regulate the temperature of the heated rear seats and speaking of the rear seats they can be folded to provide over1 000 liters of extra boot space overall.

The Polestar has a really spacious interior and its design makes for an Airy comfy and compact SUV experience so while the Pulstar 4 looks like a sedan on the exterior its interior definitely delivers on the SUV experience with class and great detail thanks to its spacious cabin space and the insane amount of minute details in its interior the pole star 4 is an amazing design and is the direct competitor of the Porsche Macan in many ways while it doesn't have the looks of an SUV on the outside it still beats the Porsche Macan in size things even get more interesting.

When we consider the price difference between the Macan and the four we expect the pole star 4 to hit the Chinese market anytime in the fourth quarter of 2023 it should however be available in the US and Europe sometime in early 2024. However, its starting price is lower than what you'd get a Maccon for and that's a starting price of sixty thousand dollars which makes it all the better for the four so why to take all the effort to put out an SUV-styled like a sedan and with so much competitive detail only to sell it for less than what's already in the SUV Market you might ask the answer is Tesla's winning strategy of selling services along with EVS Tesla has quite an impressive success story when it comes to leading in the EV Market no doubt but it's only normal to have competitors striving for a good share in the market too so like Tesla Polestar hopes to make a good profit from regular OTAs or over-the-air updates.
