Three cars that you can only buy for the next six months

Every story has an end and, although there are models that seem to last forever (such as the long-lived Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla, for example), the majority have the turn to say goodbye sooner or later. Today we are going to talk about three cars whose days are numbered: you can only buy them for the next six months.

And these are cars with very different profiles: a sports car, the Audi TT; a general saloon with performance aspirations, the Kia Stinger; and one of the few minivans still in use, the Renault Gran Scénic.

Audi TT

Audi's sports car has had a fairly long history: it was presented in 1995 as a prototype and the development process took a little longer than normal since it was not launched on the market until 1998. Since then, it has been on sale for 25 years through three different generations.

Each one has improved on the previous one, but the character of the model has always been maintained, as well as its general proportions, with an increasingly sharper design, but perfectly recognizable from the original model to the one that now says goodbye.

The first came from the pencils of Freeman Thomas and among its different engines, it had blocks ranging from 150 to 250 CV. In his farewell, the Audi TT RS Coupé throws the not inconsiderable figure of 400 CV. The TT has grown up and now it's time to say goodbye.

Kia Stinger

Of the three models that say goodbye in the coming months, the Kia is the one that has had the shortest trajectory: it was born in 2017 as an alternative to premium sedans, a model that anticipated the approach that the Korean brand would have after the fact with its EV.

His proposal surprised everyone, but his sales have not been as expected in a market where SUVs are the winners.

During the six years that it has been available, it has not undergone many changes and, in fact, what it has been doing is gradually reducing its range and options, until it was only offered in its sporty GT version, with a 366 hp 3.3 V6 engine. which allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.

Its replacement, according to the brand, is the Kia EV6 GT.

Renault Grand Scenic

No, we are not talking about the Renault Scénic, because it has been out of play for a while. The French brand had decided to keep its older brother in its offer, which is larger and has seven seats, but it has come as far as this. His case is just another example of the paths that all the minivans on the market are following.

Seeing the evolution of the industry, it is a car from the past, practically alone in its segment before the SUV advance. However, it does not mean that in his day he was not an important model. It debuted in the second generation of the Scénic as an even broader and more versatile variant of the concept.

In the final stretch of its life it has only been sold with gasoline engines (although such a vehicle lends itself well to diesel) of 140 and 160 HP of power.
