In order to eliminate any kind of connection with the outgoing MG3, the new model will adopt another name. At the time, Guy Pigounakis, Commercial Director of Morris Garage in the UK, confirmed that this model will not be called the MG3: “The MG3 will continue for another 12-18 months, before being superseded. But we won't call it MG3."
