New electric Renault Scenic E-TECH. almost ready

The Renault Scénic Vision concept car, presented during the ChangeNOW event in Paris, represents the brand's second step into electric vehicles in the C segment. This presentation is a complement to the E-Tech range of passenger cars, which includes models such as the Megane, Zoe, Twingo, and Twizy, all of them 100% electric.

Renault's commitment to sustainable mobility

Scénic Vision stands out for its focus on more sustainable, safe, and inclusive mobility. As a visionary and pioneering concept, it embodies the most advanced technological perspectives on decarbonization and demonstrates Renault's commitment to boosting electric mobility and developing more environmentally friendly solutions. Through electric vehicles such as Scénic Vision, Renault seeks to lead the transition towards cleaner and more sustainable mobility.

It is important to note that, as this is a concept, no specific details are provided on the technical characteristics or commercial availability of the Scénic Vision. However, it can be ensured that this concept car represents a futuristic and technologically advanced vision of electric mobility in the C segment.

The new 100% electric Renault Scenic E-Tech continues the Scénic Vision, becoming the first production vehicle to embody the brand's new sustainable development strategy through its three pillars: environment, safety, and inclusion.

The model reveals its definitive silhouette under a camouflage designed by Renault Design for the occasion that is inspired by the brand's logo. Manufactured within ElectriCity in Douai, several pre-production vehicles will hit European roads starting this summer driven by Renault engineers.

Renault Scenic E-TECH, debuts in September

The new 100% electric Renault Scenic E-Tech will make its world debut on September 4 at the IAA Mobility 2023 show in Munich.

Launched in 1996 (this is its story), the Scénic is considered the first compact MPV in European automotive history. His name was intended as an invitation to travel and discover the outside world. Since its birth and throughout its first four generations, Scénic has carried habitability, useful technologies, and safety in its genes.

It is a story that will last since Renault has decided to give the same name to its future 100% electric family vehicle, although now dispensing with the accent. The new 100% electric Scenic E-Tech will continue to embody these values while reinventing itself. Sylvia Dos Santos, Head of Name Strategy of the Global Marketing Department of the Renault brand, explains the metamorphosis of this car, which has undergone constant changes over the years. Everything has changed, except the name.

The foundation goes way back...

In the 1990s, Renault was identified more than ever as the manufacturer of "cars full of life". After the Espace, the high-end minivan launched in 1984, and the urban Twingo presented in 1993, it was the turn of the Scénic, which positioned itself as the first compact family minivan on the market.

Conceptually presented in 1991 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, it went on sale in 1996. The well-being of each passenger was at the center of the design of this model, then called MéganeScénic.

An innovative, safe, comfortable, and easy-to-use vehicle, the Scénic has offered exceptional modularity since its first generation, numerous technological innovations, and a huge glass surface. Its design is unique, from the inside out, to offer an unforgettable travel experience to each passenger.

Scénic is in keeping with the spirit of the time, with soft, rounded shapes and a one-piece silhouette. Designed for a family clientele seduced by the idea of a cozy car, Scénic has a unique size and proportions that provide more interior habitability and modularity.

Same name, but with cable

In line with its vision of a more responsible and safer car, with technologies and innovations that will benefit both the environment and people, Renault has decided to give the Scénic name a new dimension.

In 2022, the brand named its innovative concept car Scénic Vision, which prefigured the fifth generation of Scénic. The invitation to travel is thus reinvented through a technological and connected car, which embodies the Renault Group's strategy in terms of sustainable development and safety.
