Pininfarina has created a new jewel on wheels based on its one hundred percent electric hypercar. The Battista pays homage to the first F1 champion, Nino Farina, with a very limited edition that only five lucky people will enjoy.
The Pininfarina Battista has the luxury of being one of the benchmark electric hypercars on the market. There are few vehicles like the one created by the prestigious Italian design studio, hand in hand with the RimacC_Two project, which also gave life to its 'cousin' RimacNevera.
In the case of the Italian hypercar, apart from its distinctive aesthetic elements and its enormous customization possibilities (128 million combinations inside), it stood out mainly for its explosive acceleration capacity, improving the records of the single-seaters in the F1 World Championship, and braking.
From 0 to 60 km/h in 1.79 seconds, to 100 km/h in 1.86 seconds, and to 200 km/h in 4.75 seconds, a real outrage. And also, with a record in its braking capacity, needing only 31 meters to come to a complete stop after rolling at 100 km/h.
The new special edition Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina remains intact on a mechanical level with these dream features. If the original Battista is limited to only 150 units, this edition is even more special, with only 5 units, just like the Battista Aniversario variant.
The hyper sports car, one hundred percent electric, heart-stopping performance, luxury in the cabin like a traditional GT, 1,900 horsepower, and five driving modes... are the watchwords of the Pininfarina Battista in any of its versions.
Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina: tribute to a legend
The Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina will make its official debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the hands of F1 driver Nick Heidfeld, who has taken an important role in the development of this electric "hyper GT" as an advisor.
This special and very limited edition of the Pininfarina Battista makes many nods to Nino Farina, nephew of the founder of the company Battista 'Pinin' Farina, but above all known for being the first winner of a race and of an F1 World Cup back in 1950.
Each of the five units will feature a unique aluminum door plaque celebrating one of Nino Farina's own five most notable milestones: his date and place of birth, his first F1 pole position and victory at Silverstone in 1950, his second victory in Switzerland, the third and last of that year in Italy, as well as the Formula 1 world title, the first in history.
“The Battista Edizione Nino Farina embodies the vision of our talented design team, paying an evocative tribute to an undisputed legend of the Pininfarina family and his legacy. An untold story of the spirit and courage of a man driven by an unrivaled passion for racing," said Paolo Dellachà , CEO of Automobili Pininfarina.
Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina: unique and exclusive details
The bodywork of this special edition of the Pininfarina Battista stands out for its intense red 'Rosso Nino' finish, also a tribute to the color of Nino Farina's vehicles during his racing career.
This hue contrasts with the white 'Sstriere' and the blue 'Iconica', present in different parts of the exterior. For example, the decorative stripes, the custom graphics that also include a laurel wreath, the number '01'… There are also dark details on the roof and added elements to make it even more exclusive.
This is the case with the 'Furiosa Pack', which includes a new carbon fiber front apron, side wings, rear diffuser, 'BiancoSestriere' stripe… or the 'Carbon Accent Pack', with 'Exposed Signature Black' carbon finishes.
Add to all these explosive black brake calipers, 10-spoke alloy wheels, forged aluminum and 'Satin Gold' finish, a bespoke 'Nino Farina' engraving next to the headlights, or a graphic signature with the same name on the Driver side carbon side fin.
The cabin also plays with exclusive details, with a bespoke two-tone design, black sustainable luxury leather, contrasting beige and black Alcantara, Pilota seats with custom headrests and gold '01' graphics, blue seatbelts, steering wheel in black Alcantara... and many more exclusive details full of color and elegance.
Considered the "most powerful car ever designed and built (by hand) in Italy", there are still no prices for this very special edition, although it would not be surprising if the five units were already assigned.
All of them will continue to boast the four high-performance electric motors of the base hypercar, which adds 1,400 kW of power (1,900 CV), 2,340 Nm of torque, and 476 km of WLTP autonomy thanks to its 120 kWh lithium-ion battery.
“Our customers demand rarity, exclusivity, and the quality of execution synonymous with unique Pininfarina designs and bodywork from the past. Battista Edizione Nino Farina combines all these elements with phenomenal performance. In our imagination, Nino would have dreamed of driving with his uncle Battista, pushing the car to the limit », concludes Paolo Dellachà .
