license that has very complete equipment, features to match, and excellent
value for money.

- Complete standard equipment.
- Recognized European components: Bosch, Brembo, Marzocchi, Metzeler...

Chinese
industry has been established in our lives for years, in all sectors and
business areas, a clear effect of the prevailing globalization, arising in part
from the outsourcing of all services and the almost non-existent presence of
national two-wheel factories. QJMOTOR is one of the new players participating
in the motorcycle market and, according to what has been seen, it is here to
stay.
QJMOTOR's
offer for its first year of operation in Europe is not small, reaching ten
models by 2023. This brand, founded in 1985 and integrated into the Geely
automotive group (owner, among others, of Smart, Mercedes- Benz, Volvo, Proton, or Lotus) ventures into the Old Continent with ten motorcycles (for now)
characterized by their good equipment, correct operation and excellent value
for money.
Gaining
a foothold in the competitive market for A2 models is a matter of time and they
are already scaring their rivals. All models include a 6-year warranty and are
imported into Spain thanks to the Motos Bordoy Group (also responsible for SYM,
NIU, and Macbor). A new way of seeing motorcycles is supported by a modern,
non-conformist, and non-prejudiced philosophy.
After
the QJ SRK 400 that we tested in December, the introduction of the range (SRT
800X, SRT 550, SRK 700, SRV 550, and SRV 300) in May, and the presentation of the
QJ SRV 125 in June, now it is your turn to the QJ SRT 700X. Unlike its other
SRT sisters, there is no "pure" asphalt version with alloy wheels
(17" front).

News and technique QJ SRT 700X
The
QJMOTOR SRT 700X is the intermediate trail rung of the Asian firm, the perfect
balance between the QJ SRT 800X and the QJ SRT 550X. Its main features include
the use of a multitubular steel chassis, asymmetric aluminum swingarm, a 698 cc
DOHC 8-valve parallel twin engine (shared with the QJ SRK 700) with 74 CV (46
CV in the A2 version) at 8,500 rpm, 67 Nm (50.5 Nm version A2) at 6,500 rpm,
instrumentation with a 5-inch TFT screen and Bluetooth connectivity, full-LED
lighting and Marzocchi suspension (43 mm inverted fork, triple clamp, and
multi-regulated rear mono-shock).
Other notable
aspects include the use of Brembo radial front brake calipers, petal discs,
Bosch 9.1M ABS (not desc.), tubeless spoked wheels (19-inch front), Metzeler
Tourance tires, USB power socket, high windshield with side deflectors and
accessory bar, heated grips, and driver's seat, backlit pineapples, center
stand, handguards (aluminum support), skid plate, body bumpers, adjustable
levers (4 positions), toothed footrests (with removable rubber), grille rear
with integrated passenger grab handles and floating license plate holder
complete the package. It has 19.5 liters. tank and weighs 240 kg (20 kg less
than the SRT 800X) in running order. The tire pressure sensor system is
pre-installed but is optional.
QJ SRT
700X test
Climbing
on the SRT 700X you feel very integrated in it, with a fuel tank with a lot of
"hump" that increases the distance with respect to the seat, the
latter with a narrower design in the front part to cause little leg arch, thus
making it easier for all users can reach the ground with both feet (it is 825
mm). The footrests are somewhat advanced compared to what we are used to and
will require a period of adaptation by the driver.
In
gear, the engine of the SRT 700X responds luxuriously, with strength and
linearity throughout the rev range, with nothing to do with the
"conservatism" of the SRT 550X. It is a very complete propellant,
which has everything to have fun with it: good bass, forceful mids, and
over-revs.
At the
cycle level, it is worth noting the good work of the Marzocchi suspension team,
which keeps the bike very stable on the road, allowing slight 'soft-trail'
dabbling on easy paths. At low speed the weight makes itself felt, so you don't
have to make it difficult with sections "too much off-road" in which
we will sweat more than necessary. The ABS does not disengage on the rear
wheel, which also encourages more asphalt use.
The
windshield protects very well on fast roads, although I miss that it is
adjustable. The crash bars, although with very open ends, do their job,
safeguarding what is important in case you land with them on the ground after
some silly incident. The braking is ten, with a Brembo triple caliper team that
much more expensive motorcycles would already like, in addition to a forceful
radial front pump.
Conclusions
and opinion
QJMOTOR
SRT 700X 2023 is QJMOTOR's most balanced trail, a model that
combines the best of the 550 and 800. In addition, it takes advantage of the
power plant of the SRK 700 naked, one of the best motorcycles in its category,
making gala of premium equipment inappropriate for a motorcycle in its
segment, and with prestigious European suppliers.
In addition, it is
easy to drive, comfortable, and has a range of uses suitable for all levels of
driving, regardless of the fact that there is a specific A2 version for all
those who need it. Versatility is another of its strong points, making it ideal
for traveling with a passenger, luggage, or on dirt roads, as well as for
covering routes and journeys beyond your usual range of action.
